Since the inception of the German National Tourist Office (GNTO) in India in 2006, Germany has seen a 73 per cent growth in visitor overnights from India.
“Germany has witnessed over 4,70,000 overnights from India for the period of January-August this calendar year (2015). This phenomenal growth stands testament to the increasing interest in Germany as a favourable destination for the discerning Indian travellers,” said Romit Theophilus, Director Sales & Marketing, GNTO.
“We only see the interest increasing in the coming years,” he added.
