HBL Power Systems has posted a lower profit of ₹4.58 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2018, against a profit of ₹10.67 crore for the corresponding quarter last fiscal on a standalone basis.
The company posted lower total income of ₹426.69 crore (₹445.97 crore). The batteries and electronics company posted a profit of ₹29.65 crore and total income of ₹1646.83 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2018, against a profit of ₹32.20 crore and total income of ₹1547.06 crore for the previous financial year.
The company has four subsidiaries — HBL Germany GMBH, HBL America Inc., SCIL Infracon and HBL Suntech and one joint venture Gulf Batteries Company Ltd. It could not come out with a consolidated financial results as the their numbers are yet to be finalised.
The board recommended a dividend of 25 per cent (25 paise for every share of ₹1 each) for the year 2017-18, subject to approval of members at the AGM. EPS stood at ₹1.07 for FY18 against ₹1.16 for FY17.
