The country’s largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp has reported a net profit of ₹805 crore for the third quarter ending December 30, up 4 per cent compared with ₹772 crore in the same period in the previous year.
Net revenue also rose by 15 per cent year-on-year to ₹7,305 crore during the period against ₹6,898 crore in October-December 2016.
Sales also grew by double digit to 17.09 lakh units against around 14.74 lakh units in the corresponding period in the previous year.
“It is important to mention that we significantly grew on all key performance parameters including PAT, revenue and EBIDTA during the quarter, bucking the severe headwind on the commodities front,” said Pawan Munjal, Chairman, MD and CEO.
The company also declared interim dividend of ₹55 per equity share of ₹2 each (at the rate of 2,750 per cent) for the financial year 2017-18. “The payment of interim dividend / dispatch of dividend warrants will be completed by March 7,” the company said.
