Conrad Hotels and Resorts, a luxury brand owned by international hospitality chain Hilton Worldwide, had debuted in India with the launch of the first Conrad at Pune.
The new property is managed by Hilton Worldwide and owned by Palm Grove Beach Hotels, a subsidiary of K Raheja Construction Group.
“The introduction of the Conrad brand in India marks a significant milestone for the brand’s expansion in South Asia. Pune enjoys a robust demand for high-end hospitality from affluent travellers from around the globe, and we are positioned to cater to the needs of the new generation of smart luxury travellers,” said Amit Midha, General Manager, Conrad Pune.
With 310 rooms, including 20 suites, the hotel that is located on Mangaldas Road near the upscale Koregaon Park area has six dining options including Coriander Kitchen, an all-day restaurant, Zeera, Indian grill restaurant, Koji (Asian speciality), and Kabana, a poolside cafe.
With rooms and suites ranging from 450-1,765 sq-ft in size, one of the special features is a television embedded in the mirror in the bathroom that can be operated with a water-proof remote.
Designed to admit natural light, the interiors show extensive use of natural materials such as marble, purple onyx and wood. The highlights of the Conrad include spaces with ceilings ranging from 20-40 ft, a large 8,000 sqft pillar-less ballroom and a spa.
Hilton Worldwide has five of its 13 brands in India and now operates 15 hotels and resorts with over 2,000 rooms across 11 cities in India. Hilton Worldwide brands that have a presence in India include Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton.
The current pipeline includes nearly 20 hotels and resorts under different brands.
