Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd (HCCB) HR head Seema Nair is set to quit the company in the next few weeks.

Seema Nair, who is currently serving as the Executive Director-HR at HCCB, the bottling arm of Coca-Cola India, has put in her papers, ending a stint of about one-and-half years.

She is learnt to be relocating to Mumbai from Bengaluru, which is home to HCCB’s headquarters. Seema Nair is likely to move out of the company by July-end.

Short stint

She had joined the company in January last year and reports to Christina Ruggiero, CEO, HCCB.

Currently, she leads the Human Resource function of HCCB in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh.

When contacted, a spokesperson for Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd confirmed the development.

“Seema is relocating with her family to another city,” the spokesperson said in an e-mail.

“Consequently, she would end up pursuing a career outside of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), which is headquartered in Bengaluru,” the spokesperson added.

“We respect her decision and are thankful to her for having led the HR function with such distinction. Seema will be with HCCB for the next couple of months and ensure a smooth transition,” the spokesperson added.

However, the company did not give out information on who will succeed Seema Nair.

Seema Nair is a HR veteran, with over 21 years’ experience; she had joined HCCB after an eight-year stint at Cisco Systems.

In the past, she has worked at Intel Corporation, Hughes Software Systems, Microland Group and Crompton Greaves.
