The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has requested Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Central government to provide satellite pictures of the area where cyclone Hudhud is expected.
According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office, the State government wants to use the satellite imagery of the area in speeding up rescue and restoration work for officials and personnel monitoring the situation.
Large-scale evacuation efforts have already been taken up and the Chief Minister is monitoring the situation closely. The cyclone is expected to have a landfall in Visakhaptanam.
