The second edition of India Gadget Expo will be held in Hyderabad from September 18 to 21. About 300 exhibitors from12 countries would showcase 1,000 gadgets during the four-day Expo, Telangana Information Technology Minister K T Rama Rao said here on Thursday, announcing the event.
The organisers are expecting about 1.20 lakh visitors to the expo. Mobile manufacturers, Internet of Things players and other developers of other tech-based products are expected to release latest products in the event.
Telangana IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan launched an IGE (Android and iOS) application that lets exhibitors and others to register for the event.
Marking the event, organisers have announced cash prizes in five categories, recognising innovation, startups and students.
“One of the awards would go to early stage and growth start-ups for developing products that would have positive impact on society,” J A Chowdary, co-founder of Hyderabad for Innovation, said.
