Intermittent rains continue to lash Delhi

Intermittent rains continued to lash the national capital this morning, bringing down the mercury considerably.

According to the MeT Department, Mungeshpur in north-west Delhi received maximum rains of 83.3 mm, while Lodhi road and Safdarjung in south Delhi received 58.5 mm and 52.8 mm, respectively.

Palam received 12.6 mm, followed by Aya Nagar with 14.3 mm and Hindon with 17.2 mm, a MeT Department official said.

The national capital has received 39 per cent excess rains till now, he said.

The humidity level oscillated between 85 and 97 per cent. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain around 30.5 and 23.5 degrees Celsius, two degrees less than yesterday.

Traffic is running smoothly at most places, according to a traffic control room spokesperson.
