Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) here has tied up with American Academy for Emergency Medicine for India to implement crucial emergency medicine services, a top official said today.
The services would be implemented after training doctors with the help of the academy on emergency medicine and disaster preparedness using latest technology, JIPMER Director Dr T.S. Ravikumar told reporters here.
The academy President Dr Pankaj Arora said the academy would provide expertise and resource persons to train doctors on emergency medicine.
Ravikumar said the Government was keen to make Puducherry a medical hub and JIPMER a centre for emergency medicine and disaster management in the southern part of the country.
