K Sankaranayanan, Governor of Maharashtra, has cancelled this year's Independence Day ‘At Home’ reception traditionally held at the Raj Bhavan in Pune.
The decision has been taken against the backdrop of the recent tragic landslide at Malin in Pune district in which over 150 innocent people lost their lives.
However, the Governor will hoist the National Flag as scheduled, a press statement has said.
