Marriott International Inc has opened its newest property, the Marriott Suites in Pune.
With 199 suites located in what was earlier an Oakwood property, the Marriott Suites provides a up-market accommodation for long-stay, business and leisure travellers. One of the unique features of the new property is that it will allow house pets.
Neeraj Govil, Marketing Vice-President, South Asia, Marriott International, said, “The opening of Marriott Suites Pune takes our portfolio to 33 hotels in India.”
The hotel houses a fully equipped fitness centre, outdoor pool and a wellness centre. Food and beverage section offer an interesting mix of local and international cuisine, five senses - the all-day dining restaurant, the Bistro (Italian & Mediterranean cuisine) and the Oak Lounge offering perfectly aged Cognacs and Single Malts.
Earlier this year, Marriott Hotels India Pvt Ltd had said it is terminating the operating contract for its Courtyard By Marriott Pune City Centre hotel with effect from June 10, 2016. The hotel has been operated by Marriott since July 2011.
A statement said that Marriott Hotels India and Neo Capricorn Plaza Pvt Ltd, owner of the property near Pune’s Jehangir Hospital, have mutually agreed to terminate the operating contract for the Courtyard By Marriott Pune City Centre hotel.
