Aam Aadmi Party’s electoral success is a result of its innovative campaign, former Union Minister and Congress MP Subodh Kant Sahay said here on Saturday. According to him, the people of Delhi have got carried away by his “unrealistic promises” and not by “assurance of solving economic issues”. “The victory of AAP in Delhi Assembly elections came after its extraordinary campaign. It also used the social networking platform extensively,” Sahay said here while addressing the 5th World Confluence of Humanity, Power and Spirituality organised by SREI Foundation.

Commenting on the agenda of political parties in the country, Sahay said elections these days were not being held on the basis of economic issues any more . According to him, politicians have been “talking about regional, caste or religion-based polarisation”, and not important economic matters. “If we have to change the system, we have to correct the power structure. There should be a touch of spiritualism in the power structure, bureaucracy and administration,” he said.
