The 15th batch of IIM-Kozhikode post-graduates has gained cent per cent placement.

Though the placement scenario is not rosy across the campuses, with several of the IIM-K’s regular recruiters picking fewer students than usual, the institute has been able to get the services of top names in the industry.

Kulbhushan Balooni, chairperson– placements, said in a statement that a significant number of students would be joining companies such as EduRaft, Vista Mind, Sugee Group, V2 Solutions and CampHire.

“While finance, sales and marketing continued to be our forte, this year, several key roles were being offered to students in other verticals as wel,” the statement said.

HUL, ITC, Nestle, Asian Paints, Britannia and Pidilite were some of the top names offering sales and marketing roles.

Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Citi Bank, HSBC, DE Shaw, Fidelity Investments ICICI, Axis Bank, SBI Caps, offered roles in corporate finance, treasury, risk management and investment banking.

Students looking at general management were picked by Cipla and Bosch. In the consulting sector, top recruiters included McKinsey, Deloitte, KPMG, Cognizant Business Consulting, IBM Consulting and Wipro Consulting Services.

The placements season also saw active participation from several mid-cap and small-cap companies, with students taking greater interest in exploring opportunities with such organisations offering challenging roles.

“We pride ourselves in producing students with a perfect amalgamation of skills required for both global and local business leadership requirements. This is evident from the continued trust our recruiters have placed in us as a preferred destination for talent sourcing,” Debashis Chatterjee, director, IIM-Kozhikode, said.
