The Karnataka government will soon launch tele-radiology facility in four districts, State Health Minister UT Khader has said.
Addressing presspersons on the sidelines of a programme in Mangaluru on Friday, he said there is scarcity of radiologists in government hospitals in the State.
Under the proposed plan, technicians in the designated hospitals in four districts will carry out the radiology-related processes. They will be connected to radiology experts at Bangalore Medical College who will analyse the reports and prescribe treatment.
Mid-day meal On Friday, the Minister launched a facility to distribute free mid-day meal to the attendants of patients in government hospitals.
Khader said a non-governmental organisation (NGO) has come forward to distribute free mid-day meals to the attendants of patients in the Government Wenlock Hospital here.
Stating that such facilities will be extended to government hospitals in other districts also, he said some NGOs have shown interest in collaborating with the government for it.
