A three-day preparatory regional training camp for the 71st National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) Field Operations Division (FOD) on Health and Education, will be held at Madurai from Wednesday.

According to M. Madhusudhanan, ISS, Deputy Director-General, Madurai, the survey to be conducted from January 1 to 31, will study the benefits derived by various sections of the population from the investments made by the Government and the private sector in the field of health, and to provide an estimate of expenditure incurred by households to avail health care services.

Under the survey on education, the extent of the use of educational infrastructure and facilities and incentives provided by the Government and private sector, as reflected in the current attendance status in educational institutions, will be investigated.
