The Andhra Pradesh Judicial Academy is open to helping and supporting the cause of micro, small and medium sized (MSME) enterprises, acting Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh, Justice N.V. Ramana, said.

Addressing a CII meet here on Saturday, he said the Judicial Academy is open to serve the industry, especially the small-scale industries to provide them with the required legal support for establishing and strengthening their businesses. The Judicial Academy is equipped to train the industry officials on various judicial issues.

He emphasised the need for diverting the Industry CSR activities also towards conservation of energy, which will have a more meaningful impact.

CII Andhra Pradesh organised its annual meeting on "Andhra Pradesh–Reviving Economic Growth through focus on Skills, Innovation, Rurbanization and Infrastructure."

During the panel discussion, Prof. K.C. Reddy, Vice-Chairman, Rajiv Education & Employment Council of Andhra Pradesh, highlighted the importance of skill upgradation to ensure employment.

B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director, Infotech Enterprises, expressed need to use modern methods of teaching to improve the quality of education and the initiatives like ‘Massive Open Online Courses.’

Pradeep Chandra, State Principal Secretary Industries, said a cluster based approach covering the sectors of textiles, plastics and food processing, would be very effective in semi-urban and rural locations and would cater to the non-agricultural employment.

Ramachandra Galla, Chairman, Amara Raja Group, said there is a need to create urban amenities in rural areas for improving the standard of life of people. This will help in reducing the migration of workforce from rural areas to urban centres.

V.B. Gadgil, Chief Executive, L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd, said infrastructure creation is necessary for accelerating economic growth. To promote infrastructure, public-private partnership is not only the solution but such projects taken up have to be commercially viable.
