Andhra Pradesh Government on Sunday formed an advisory committee on the new capital city for the State with representation from the industry.
As per an order issued here on Sunday, P Narayana, Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development was the chairman of the panel which would have eight other members.
G V Sanjay Reddy of GVK Group, B Srinivas from GMR Group, M Prabhakar Rao, Chairman of Nuziveed Seeds, C Srinivasa Raju, Chairman of Peepul Capital were appointed as members of the panel, among others.
In addition, three prominent persons of national and international repute could be opted as special invitees for the committee, the order said.
The panel would propose an action plan with timelines for submission of its recommendations on conceptualisation of an inclusive city, creation of a viable urban ecosystem, efficient use of natural resources, urban planning policies, effective institutional management system, among others.
It would also advise on supplementing resources committed by the Central government for the new capital with mechanisms to raise additional resources for development, the order added.
