The Andhra Pradesh Government will extend the services of outsourced staff, according to its Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
The services will be extended till the end of this year, Naidu said while addressing Secretariat employees here on Thursday on his maiden visit to the Secretariat after taking over as Chief Minister.
The services of over 30,000 outsourced staff were terminated last month in view of the State’s bifurcation and confusion over the salary liability of the two States.
While assuring the employees that their interests would be protected in view of the bifurcation and likely relocation, the Chief Minister had said that the stoppage of health insurance and other issues would be immediately addressed.
Citing the recent disputes between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh employees, he advised the staff to be more accommodative in their emotions.
“While my responsibility is to work for the welfare of Andhra Pradesh as Chief Minister, I will also work for social development in Telangana as they are also Telugus,” he added.
