The BJP will release its election manifesto on April 7, when the first phase of polling commences in five seats in Assam and one seat in Tripura. In a precursor, the party will release a charge-sheet against the ruling party on Friday. BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman said through the charge-sheet, the party will seek to ask voters to reject the Congress and elect a BJP- led NDA government this time. Asked about the delay in the release of the manifesto, Sitharaman said it is purely due to the lack of availability of various leaders, as the party wanted the top leadership to be present during the manifesto release.
