Exposé talks of suicide squads and leaders’ compliance

Raising questions over the investigations of the Justice Liberhan Commission and the CBI, news portal Cobrapost has come up with a sting operation on the Babri Masjid Demolition of December 6, 1992.

In the undercover operation, named Operation Janmabhoomi, leaders of various saffron outfits have claimed that the demolition was pre-planned and did not happen in a frenzied moment, as is being claimed by Hindutva outfits.

1990 firing
Senior leaders of the agitation have also claimed in the interview that they had set up a suicide squad for the purpose and the 1990 firing by the State Government on the
kar sevaks was also with the knowledge of the leadership. “I was in Ayodhya that day, then why didn’t I take a bullet. I don’t know. But it was not Mulayam Singh who ordered the fiting. It was rather our own people who got our well known people shot one by one,” says Swami Sachidanand Sakshi Maharaj in the three-hour-long documentary based on the sting operation.

The BJP earlier had approached the Election Commission demanding to block the telecast of the sting operation. Cobrapost editor Anirudh Behl said in a press conference here on Friday that his attempt is to expose the real faces behind the demolition.

Refutes allegations He refuted the allegations that Cobrapost is working to favour the Congress. He said the report was prepared after a research spanning two years and the release of it has no connection with the elections.
