Normal life in the State capital and other districts in the Telangana region was hit due to a bandh call given by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
The bandh call was to protest the inconclusive end of an all-party meet held in Delhi Friday on the demand for a separate Telangana State .
The bandh impact, however, was only partial in Hyderabad compared to other districts of the region
Schools, educational institutions, shops and other business establishments remained closed. Banks and petrol pumps, however, functioned normally.
As a precautionary measure, the state road transport corporation had withdrawn many services, including city buses, while train services continued uninterrupted.
Today being a Saturday and the year-end vacation period, the impact of the bandh was not felt much on the IT industry here.
Attendance in Government offices was thin as city buses did not ply.
