The Coimbatore edition of the TCS IT Wiz 2014 is slated for August 26 at the Corporation Kalai Arangam in RS Puram here.
High school students studying in class VIII and XII (including pre university students of junior college) can take part in the IT Wiz, a company release said.
The quiz is held across 14 locations such as Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Pune. There is no entry fee, but entries will have to be sent through the respective institutions on or before August 24 to Tata Consultancy Services, HDFC House, Kamarajar Road here.

The winning team from the regional finals will contest in the mega finals along with the UAE team in December
The focus of the quiz will be on applications of Information Technology across various sectors and aspects include technology environment, the business, people, new trends and legends. It will also focus on emerging areas such as cloud computing, telecom, biometrics, robotics, world of Internet, unique Web sites, IT buzzwords and acronyms.
