Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday sanctioned Rs 1 lakh each to the kin of those killed in Palem bus accident where 44 passengers were charred to death in a Volvo bus coming from Bangalore to Hyderabad.
The accident occurred at Palem in Mahabubnagar district in the early hours of October 30. The Andhra Pradesh Government had ordered a committee of senior IAS officers to probe the cause of the mishap and also to suggest measures to prevent such accidents in future.
The Chief Minister had also ordered a CB-CID enquiry into the accident.
