Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) recently disbursed agricultural loans to the tune of Rs 6.50 crore to 200 beneficiaries at a function held at Kadachanendal near here to mark the ‘kisan months’ celebration.
The Chairman and Managing Director of the bank M. Narendra, presiding over the function, explained the various agricultural credit schemes. The bank had more than 1,000 branches in the State and was set to provide banking facilities in all villages before March.
The bank conducted an ‘Investment credit’ campaign during June and July when Rs 617 crore was disbursed. Now, it was observing ‘kisan months’ in August and September.
