Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 3 in Delhi and present a memorandum containing crucial issues relating to the State that are pending with the Centre. The meeting is scheduled against the backdrop of Jayalalithaa boycotting Modi’s swearing-in ceremony to protest Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s presence at the event.
Jayalalithaa will meet Modi at his South Block office, a TN government release said. The memorandum will highlight issues which require the urgent attention of the Centre “to safeguard the legitimate interests of the State and to propel the State on a faster growth path.”
