Karnataka Governor to commission Coast Guard vessels

The Karnataka Governor, Vajubhai Vala, will commission the two new air cushion vessels (ACVs) of Indian Coast Guard at New Mangalore on November 10.

Addressing presspersons here, Rajamani Sharma, Commander of Coast Guard in Karnataka, said that the Governor will commission ACVs – H-196 and H-198 – at a function at New Mangalore on November 10.

These ACVs are in addition to the four inshore patrol vessels of Coast Guard in New Mangalore, he said.
