The State Government will take over Vaigai Thread Processors located at Koratty in Thrissur.
The decision was taken at a meeting called here by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to settle a dispute on settlement of wages and compensation payable to labourers.
The company has been lying closed since January 22 due to labour unrest.
The Government would take back the land leased out to the company in view of the fact that it has not been able to implement an agreement reached with employees earlier.
It would now talk direct with representatives of labour unions and try to arrive at an amicable settlement, an official spokesman said here.
