Citizens should be trained in first aid techniques by imparting basic training, which will be helpful to save many lives, especially in road accidents and other mishaps, said B. Ummer, Joint Director of Factories and Boilers.
He was inaugurating a training programme on first aid jointly organised by the National Safety Council and Seafood Exporters Association of India. Every citizen should know the very basics of first aid, as the first few minutes after the accident is vital to save lives.
Francis Xavier, Chairman, National Safety Council, Kerala Chapter presided over the function. Norbert Karikkassery, National Treasurer and President of Seafood Exporters Association of India, Kerala Chapter and Salim Raj, Inspector of Factories and Boilers, offered felicitations.
