Titagarh Wagons Ltd has imposed suspension of work at its wagon making unit near here.
J P Chowdhary, Chairman of the company confirmed the development to Business Line.
He said that seven workers were suspended for “unruly behaviour and indiscipline” at the plant on Thursday.
“A section workers along with local rowdies stopped operations at the factory. The police and the Labour Commissioners have been informed about the incidents that led the management to impose suspension of work on Saturday”, he added.
The unit employs some 500 workers, of which 300 are regular.
