Demanding special reservation for unemployed youth from militancy affected areas, National Students Union of India (NSUI) today said it has asked the AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi for implementation of the Right to Education (RTE) policy in Jammu and Kashmir.

“We have submitted a detailed memorandum to the Rahul Gandhi during his visit to the Valley. We have demanded special reservation for unemployed youth belonging to militancy affected areas in Jammu and Kashmir,” NSUI Kishtwar District President Saqib Lone said today.

In the memorandum, NSUI had demanded special reservation for the students of the militancy affected areas of the state including Kishtwar, Doda, Rajouri, Poonch and Kupwara districts.

The student wing of the Congress also demanded at least two representations in the state cabinet from erstwhile Doda district comprising three districts— Kishtwar, Doda and Ramban, he said.
