TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu landed in trouble when he came to cast his vote at a Jubilee Hills polling station here on Wednesday. Naidu came with his wife Bhuvaneswari, daughter-in-law Brahmani (both directors of Heritage Foods) and son Nara Lokesh to the booth. After voting, Naidu told the electronic media that he had voted for the BJP.
State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Bhanwarlal, reacting to this development, said Naidu’s vote will be treated as invalid, as he had violated the code of secret ballot. Soon some TDP leaders joined issue, questioning the comments of the CEO.
Elsewhere, film star Vijayashanthi, the Congress candidate fighting the Medak Assembly seat, was involved in heated arguments with polling officials and TRS supporters.
