In view of the reservations and misgivings about Emerging Kerala and its objectives, CII has said there is no reason to worry about controversies.
V K Mathews, chairman, CII-Kerala, said in a statement that no company would invest in Kerala during a two-day event conducted by the State government. Companies will study the feasibility and sustainability of projects/ programmes thoroughly before investment decisions are taken, he said.
Similarly, no company will be able to go ahead with any project without approvals from the government. So, there is no need for any apprehensions at this stage, he said.
The State, he said, needs to redefine its position and role in a globally connected new generation world. Emerging Kerala is an opportunity for this, he said.
