ONGC, Rajahmundry Asset has won the National Safety award for the seventh consecutive time, according to a press release.
For the year 2008 in the lowest injury frequency rate category, P. Krishna Rao, Group General Manager – Asset Manager, along with K Suresh Kumar, Secretary of Petroleum Employees’ Union, received the award from President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi on Wednesday. The function was attended by Union Labour Minister Mallikarjun Karge and Minister for State (Labour) K. Suresh.
The asset also won an award for 2010 in drilling oil mine lowest injury frequency rate category (winner). It was received by S. Gururajan, General Manager and Head Health Safety and Environment, and K. Sanyasi Rao, Helper (Gd-II).
For 2009 in drilling mines in the longest accident-free period category (winner), the award was received by H.L.Patel, General Manager (drilling), and T. Srinivas, attendant (GD-II).
For 2008 production mine longest accident-free period category (runner) and in drilling mine winner category, awards were received by D.M.R Sekhar and D.V.K Raju, superintendent (accounts).
