Pact on green buildings

The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) and Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerator and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) have inked a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in the green building movement. The MoU was signed at the Green Building Congress, 2014. It seeks to have cooperation in the areas of information exchange, participation in events, joint programmes and promotion of educational programmes. Speaking at a panel discussion, Renu Pall, Joint Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, underlined the growing need to share best practices, technology exchange and facilitate business opportunities.
