Rays Power Infra has announced the commissioning of a 10 MW solar plant at Midjil in Mahbubnagar district (of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh), which is now a part of Telangana State.
The project has been set up at an investment of ₹65 crore and has an estimated annual output of 18 million KWH.
The generated power will be sold at competitive market prices, equivalent to commercial tariffs in Hyderabad.
Ketan Mehta, Rays Power Infra Director, said the project would supply power to corporate offices in Hyderabad and one of the largest banks in the world. It is the largest third-party open access project in the State and sets an example for any consumer on hedging power tariffs.
Consumers would be able to get power at a much lower price in comparison to what the government provides.
A brainchild of IIT Roorkee professors and students, Rays Power Infra is a solar power service provider in India and a developer of solar parks.
