The sale of red sanders wood logs by Andhra Pradesh now underway has received good response and has so far fetched about Rs 261 crore. This is likely to be much bigger as the process goes on for some more days.
According to Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, AV Joseph, the next e-auction will be held during November 26 to 29 and again on December 1.
The State Government after securing necessary permission from Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has invited e-tender-cum-e-auction for sale and export of 4160 MTs of precious red sanders wood which is in great demand in some of the markets such as Japan and China.
