The second unit of Shree Singaji Thermal Power Project’s first phase was synchronised by the Power Generation Company’s Managing Director Vijendra Nanawati at Khandwa.
The second unit of 600 MW was synchronised on Saturday while the first unit of 600 MW was synchronised on February 1, 2014, an official release said here today.
With the synchronisation of the second unit, Madhya Pradesh would soon start getting 1200 MW power.
Under the second phase, two units of 660 MW each would be set up as part of the project.
After the completion of the second phase, the total power generation capacity of the project would be 2520 MW, the release said.
Shree Singaji Thermal Power Project is a coal-fired power plant located near Dongaliya village of Khandwa District in Madhya Pradesh.
