The Telangana Rashtra Samithi Chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday said that his party will form the Government in Telangana by securing absolute majority.
Addressing newspersons here after a broad-based meeting with his party colleagues, he said that TRS will secure more than 60 seats on its own (of the 119 seats) required to get majority and that may go up to 70,80 and even 90 seats, and form the Government.
He said that some of the Congress Party leaders are making lot of noise and stating that they would form the Government with the support of others. “In fact, I am sure they will not cross more than 23-30 seats in Telangana,” he said.
Referring to the elections in the Seemandhra region, Rao said that the information he has gathered from surveys shows that the YSR Congress Party would be able to form the Government and the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu would go into oblivion.
He hoped that the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi would be able to form the next Government at the Centre and that TRS would extend support to him as Rahul and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi played a key role in facilitating the formation of Telangana.
Rao said that to develop both the states Governments would have to work together and ensure all round development by sorting out issues.
