Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ashok Tanwar has decided to drop his plan to resign from the Congress. He was placated by the party high command here on Thursday.

A source in the Congress said he expressed regret to the party leadership for walking out of the screening committee meeting.

The leader said Tanwar told the leadership that it was an emotional outburst over the decision to give ticket to two persons who oppose him within the party.

Tanwar exercised his duties as PCC president on Thursday by distributing symbols to the party candidates. He has told the leadership that he will campaign in all the 90 seats.
