Seafood processing parks are to come up in public private partnership at Thiruvallur and Ramanathapuram.
The State Fisheries Department has called for bids from consultants to prepare a feasibility report and provide transaction advisory services to identify a private sector partner.
The details of the bids are available on the Tamil Nadu Government and the Fisheries Department’s Web sites.
The last date for the bids is May 29. A pre-proposal conference will be held on May 15.
The feasibility studies include suggestion of the best, environment-friendly technology for fish processing facilities and a sustainable revenue model for the fish processing park to come up in the two districts on land available with the Department.
The ambit of the report covers the entire gamut of operations from identifying and sourcing raw material to final processed products.
