Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy hailed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and the UPA Government for winning the vote in Lok Sabha on FDI in retail.
He described this development on a crucial FDI retail issue as the reflection of the continued people's faith in the UPA Government and its leadership.
The Chief Minister said the FDI in retail will help the consumers and farmers. The farmers are sure to get remunerative prices for their produce besides quality products for consumers at reasonable prices.
Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam would get an investment of at least Rs 500 crore in FDI in retail business, he said in a statement.
