Bharti Airtel, the country’s largest telecommunication services provider, has launched 4G services in Kharagpur.
Kharagpur is the second city in West Bengal to have 4G services.
Airtel 4G is available to customers across a range of smart devices, including mobile phones (SIM cards), 4G hotspots and dongles.
It has been rolled out using dual spectrum bands of 2,300 MHz (TD LTE) and 1,800 MHz (FD LTE). The combination of TD LTE and FD LTE ensures higher network capacity and superior customer experience, Airtel said in a press release.
Airtel had launched the country’s first 4G network in Kolkata in April 2012.
