The Andhra Pradesh Assembly has been adjourned till Wednesday morning following protests by legislators from Telangana and Seemandhra regions.
Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka adjourned the House minutes after it met at 1.40 p.m., when Seemandhra MLAs refused to resume discussions on AP Reorganisation Bill.
Seemandhra legislators, who are against the bifurcation of the State, have been stalling the proceedings for the last four days.
The business advisory committee meetings held in the last few days failed to arrive at a consensus on how to conduct discussions on the Bill.
CPI legislator K. Sambasiva Rao has asked the Government to suspend those MLAs who are stalling the proceedings and ensure discussion on the Bill.
