The Andhra Pradesh Assembly will begin the crucial discussion on the AP Re-Organisation Bill from Wednesday.
The discussions will continue for three days, and a special session may be convened in the first week of January if the debate remains incomplete.
The Speaker has convened the Business Advisory Committee for the afternoon on Wednesday to discuss the Bill that witnessed divergent views.
Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, who is opposing the bifurcation, reportedly favoured a discussion, while the YSR Congress Party members walked out.
Both houses could not conduct business this morning as legislators belonging to Seemandhra disrupted proceedings protesting against the bifurcation.
The Speaker had adjourned the House minutes after it resumed with the Seemandhra legislators rushing to the well of the House, shouting slogans.
Legislators belonging to Telangana too protested, asking the Speaker to continue discussion.
The list of business for the fourth day of the session, however, didn’t contain any mention of the Bill.
