Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Kiran Kumar Reddy today sanctioned rupees one lakh each to the kin of those killed in Palem bus accident where 44 passengers were charred to death in a Volvo bus travelling from Bangalore to Hyderabad.
The tragic accident occurred at Palem in Mahabubnagar district in the early hours of October 30.
The Andhra Pradesh Government had ordered a committee of senior IAS officers to probe the cause of the Palem bus mishap and also to suggest measures to prevent such accidents in future.
The Chief Minister had also ordered a CB-CID enquiry into the accident.
