Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu late on Saturday launched ‘Digital Andhra Pradesh’ initiative which covers several mobile applications for various citizen services.
The Mobile MeeSeva citizen-services app for Android covers 334 services such as MeeSeva, utilities-electricity, water, gas bills, payment of taxes, banking, agriculture by linking Mee Bhoomi, booking of rail and road tickets, education, passport application status, news, jobs, legal, police, healthcare among others.
In the initial phase, this covers 19 services, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office.
The salient features of the app include payment gateway, dashboard for transaction history, MeeSeva Category Utility Bills and MeeSeva locator. Citizens can also message to a Whatsapp contact at 9100199992.
The CM also launched the Godavari Pushkaralu free android app providing information about location and directions to ghats, booking pandals, parking spaces, etc. Citizens can also submit their grievances on this app from the venue.
The website for Godavari Mahapushkaram 2015 providing information on pushkaralu and tourist spots was also launched.
Another application, Resource Mapping mobile app launched will map the location data of all the assets such as banks, ATMs, government buildings, bus-stops, hospitals, on a map interface present in Andhra Pradesh. This will later also include irrigation projects, borewells, tanks and canals.
This can be used as a base map instead of the Google Map by all the departments for monitoring field status reports.
Adult education mobile app : This Government mobile application enables to monitor the adult literacy and programme in the State through field workers. For this, the State has purchased 620 BSNL SIM cards for field-level staff and mandal coordinators.
