Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has embarked on a three-day tour of the United Kingdom, seeking to woo investments to the State.
During his stay in London, the Chief Minister will make a pitch for investments in the new capital city of Amaravati and the smart village and smart ward programme.
On Friday, the Chief Minister will visit the Mahatma Gandhi statue at Parliament and pay his respects. Later, he will take part in a presentation on UK Smart Cities expertise. During the day, he will hold meetings with representatives from various companies, elaborating on the investment potential of Andhra Pradesh, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office.
The UK Government has agreed to help the State in preparing investment strategies for the greenfield capital city.
On the second day of his London tour, the Chief Minister will participate in the Indo-British Business Forum and Indo British Investment club events. He is accompanied by Cabinet colleagues, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, P Narayana and officials, Ajay Jain, Secretary-Energy, and PV Ramesh, Principal Secretary Finance, among other senior officials.
