Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administer Minister P Narayana today said the state government has allocated Rs 1,300 crore for Godavari Pushkaram festival that commences in July.
The Minister held a review meeting here on the ongoing preparations for Pushkaram and emphasised on the need of greater coordination among various department.
“The completion of works will depend on coordination of departments. Every department should coordinate with other department for speedy execution of works,” he said.
The state government has allocated Rs 1,300 crore for Godavari Pushkaram of which Rs 240 crore has been released for Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation.
This will be the first Pushkaram after bifurcation of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and the government is taking all efforts to complete developmental works on time, Narayana said.
The Minister also directed officials to prepare a comprehensive report on the progress of the works on daily basis for the festival which will begin from July 14 here, and at East and West Godavari districts.
