The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly was adjourned for an hour yet again on Wednesday amid protests, slogan-shouting and noisy scenes.
After repeated requests to members by Speaker Nadendla Manohar did not yield any result, he was forced to adjourn the House to restore order.
The trouble started within minutes of the House assembling for the day and the Speaker rejecting a couple of adjournment motions. Members then rushed to the podium pressing for their demands.
While the Speaker kept on pleading the members and floor leaders to resume to their seat, there was no change with the protests continuing.
The current extended session to discuss the AP Re-organisation Bill 2013 ends on January 30. It is to be seen if Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy's request to grant additional three week’s will be considered.
