The Andhra Pradesh Government has approved the Rs 1,670-crore third phase of Krishna drinking water project that will boost water supply to Hyderabad metropolis.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Board will raise up to Rs 1, 500 crore from Hudco and the balance will be provided by the State Government.
So far two phases have been completed in 2004 and 2006 and with the third phase, Hyderabad will have about 16.5 tmc of water from Krishna river.
